recommended intake of common salt is only 2400 milligrams. Your daily
salt consumption should be below 2000 milligrams though. Most people in
the west have at least 5 times of the necessary amount into their daily
diet.
A long list of health problems results in too much salt:
Obesity, weight gain, kidney problems, higher likelihood for several
cancers, calcium loss, high blood pressure and heart complaints are
among the health problems caused by too much salt.
As you know,
